TrackIR and the left cockpit panel

Does anyone else have to turn almost a full 90+ degrees before the left hand panel lights up with a TrackIR? in some cases it don't activate at all. It used to be fine so I'm not sure if this is due to a patch. Is there a way of setting the point at which the side panels come on?

Could it have something to do with the field of view setting?

I have kind of similar problem. Opening left panel seems more difficult than right panel, as well as keep my eyes on those panels respectively. Also, I'd really like to see those panel in focused(or larger) size with trackir as if you open them with bound keys. I have old, not-functioning-well eyes and it's sometimes hard to read texts without focused UI size, not to mention you have to look them in sideways irl.

I'll try messing with the FOV. I haven't had to change that before but perhaps Frontier tweaked it in a patch somewhere.

I do not have any problem. Try checking the centreing of you with respect to the TrackIR camera. Also try to make sure the camera is centred above the middle of the screen.

BTW - I have the ED FOV slider all the way to max.

Try making your left curve steeper in TrackIR configurations. That makes it more sensitive, hence you need to turn LESS to "see left".

I'm not sure if it helps, but I have hit that issue a couple of times. I found that it was the alignment of your tracker and the unit on the monitor. I have set my unit to the right slightly to align as close as I can to the tracker. What I noticed is that sometimes the unit can move when table is knocked etc, or if I have my seat in a slightly left or right position to what I have lined up. Could try first to move your seat a tiny bit to the right/left and see if it makes any difference, or try moving/twisting the tracker a little to get the alignment back.

No problems for TIR5 on my side. Doubt it's the patch mate.

No, works fine for me - you need to make sure you're focusing on the correct vertical position for it though but the left panel pretty much comes on constantly, whenever I'm trying to get a nice view out of the left windows!
