Trade Center not working?

I am afraid I am missing something - whenever I put an animal from a habitat to the trade center, it will not show in the trading window. I have also bought animals that did not show up in the window although they were shown in my trading history. When I click on the building, it says "2/30 animals" or something, but these animals will just not be shown in the trading window. Am I doing something wrong or is this a known issue or does anyone have an idea? Thanks <3
