Trade centre animal origin bug

Since the issue tracker had issues with this issue and issued it right down the loo, I'ma gonna make this thread instead.
Please contribute if you're experiencing the same issue!

The aquatic pack brought a nasty bug to my trade centre in franchise mode and I'm hoping for a fix ever since. 😭

Description:
In franchise mode, animals stored in the trade centre are listed as originated from the zoo I'm currently playing, even though they're not. It makes it a pain to breed properly since you can't tell which animal is from which zoo.

Reproduction:
Step 1:
Open up more than two franchise zoos. (Two would be enough though, but the effect is alot more visible when you have more zoos).
Step 2: Have your animals have offspring in all of your zoos and store them in your trade centre once they've matured.
Step 3: Load any of your franchise zoos and take a look in your trade centre. The origin of your animals is now the zoo you're currently playing, even though they're from your other zoos.

Is it Origin or just current Location (as it says at the top of the column)?

Isn't Origin displayed elsewhere?

I never really check these stats. But the way it's stated there it looks correct with the column subject.
I Could be completely wrong of course.

Looks like a bug indeed

True. Origin is only in the Zoo page, where it lists all your animals.

It used to be that the Trade Center would list the location as the zoo where the animal had most recently been placed, or was most recently moved from (which may indeed be different than where it was originally born), or the zoo you had been in when you got it from the market. But now it always shows the zoo you're currently in.

Before the bug, the location of the animal was the zoo it really came from - it's origin, no matter which zoo you were currently playing. So yes, I mean the animals origin. It made things alot easier because the location never changed from the origin, so you could easily replace an animal with "fresh genes". Right now the location changes permanently with every zoo you load. As if you would have all the animals in a bag and carry them with you.

Of course, the origin is displayed in the animal stats tab when you click on it. But for that you must place the animal in a habitat right now. It's not possible when they're still in the trade centre.

Edit: Hm, maybe a little vocabulary confusion? 😄 My thought: If you're born in New York, then New York is your origin, right?

So that needs fixing, I agree it would be hugely helpful to see origin on this page.
