Newcomer / Intro Trade observations

Hi there been playing just over a week I spawned in Trevithick dock ,and moved straight off to the eravate system, as someone said there was a great trade route, so I began slow with my sidey from Cleeve hub clothes to ackerman market then jumping to Kini to Kadenyuk with foodstuff and running aluminium from there back to Cleeve Hub roughly a grand profit per round trip till I had a stash big enough to ship marine equipment to Ackerman Tea to Kini and Tantalum to Cleeve bought a hauler maxed to 16 ton making 20k plus till I got my cobra 111 with 20ton making 33k a round trip. so this is quite steady I did a few pick up trips ie six of this and ten of that, but came to realise that after you took the price of the goods you were bringing off the offer money you were offered for the Job in most cases your making a loss against just doing your normal trade run. have lost a few cargoes to Pirates and at eighty grand a time that smarts but since I got the Cobra only One has had a serious go and i creamed him 15k bounty thank you very glad so at present I have beefed up my Cobras weapons and defence package ahd have 500,000k to play with
so I may go a wandering travelling fast and light and see whats out there, I dont know whether I will buy One off those big cargo ships as I imagine your a big target and having One Million blow up in your face as well as the cargo cost
will bring a tear to my eyes, I have a feeling as well that good trading routes are hard to find but if some one knows one feel free to let me in on it. Cheers Happy Trading.:)

Don't forget that if a ship blows up, you only pay a small percentage of the price to replace it- yaaay insurance. It's only the initial purchase that's charged at face value.

Eravate - Ackerman to Cleeve station Leather - profit 700
Cleeve station to Ackerman - Clothes - profit 900
Round trip 15 mins - profit 1600 minus fuel cost and add the occasional bounty if you can not escape interdiction ( or want not to escape).
just thought I mention this since it is (in my opinion) a good Rookie trading start.
Plenty of take off and Landing practice.

True but even a 10% surcharge adds 100 k then you add say 300,000 in cargo and that can really ruin your day lol
