Trade Reports

I was wondering if they were 'real', so I went to a remote system which has so little traffic there was no trade report at all. Bought some Algae (100t) / Fruit & Veg (50t) / Grain (45t) with the plan to sell it and see if it was reported.

But when I docked I saw there is already a trade report (I haven't sold anything yet):

So it seems the report is based upon purchases (and maybe sales?). Probably not ordered? (IIRC only Algae was in a high supply state).

I was wondering, because I was earlier in San Tu and saw Toxic Waste was one of the top trades, so I assumed the report was fake as Toxic Waste is hard to come by ... more digging required. If anyone has prior research on the Trade Report I would be interested

They appear towards the bottom of the News section of the Station Services menu when docked.

i always assumed the Trade Report was on goods sold in System.

i am working a couple low traffic Systems currently and if when i first moved in Occupied Escape Pods were the only item on the Trade Report.

to my knowledge you can't purchase those anywhere. is that correct?

eddb says you cannot buy them anywhere. Then again you cannot sell them either - only hand in to S&R. Interesting.

I've been failing to get mission related goods (like Microwave Cooling Hose) to appear - also Thargoid stuff (though I don't have much). Still trying to work out what makes the top 3 (two of the 3 things I sold dropped straight off the report and I was left with only Fruit & Veg).

Does it count:

• Total value bought / sold?
• Profit/T for things sold?
• Something else

Haven't even worked out yet when it refreshes - it seems to be less than an hour, not convinced it is the same as the 10 minute market refresh (though that would make sense).

i guess it is the same as with bounty reports etc. - as those are cross platform it needs to collect the data before update.
