trade route quality?

Ive worked up to a type 7 and im running a trade route i discovered that yields 1250 per ton one way and 1470 the other way. It's 2 jumps. It takes about 6 or 7 minutes each way. With shields on my type 7 i can make about 2.7 mil per hour. Big stations. Stable high supply and demand.
My question is. . how good is this route? Is it worth hunting for better? Or is that about as good as it gets?
Thanks

Milk it for all you can before others find it and kill the prices.

Move up to a Python fitted for 284T as soon as you can, then to a trading Anaconda.

Better yet, PM me the route an I'll wing up with you and we'll get the dividends...

You won't get much better than that. As GJ51 has rightly said, milk it for all its worth whilst the going is still good.

Thanks for the feedback. It is the best route I have found. But, I have limited time to be on. so, i want to make sure I'm being as efficient as possible.

Sounds like a great one mate. I've also got one, 14.4ly jump and 1666 per ton profit one way and 1200 back. Takes about 8 Min. Was getting 886888 total profit one way in the type 9. Finally got the anaconda last night. Soooooooo happy

That is also an incredibly good route, 8 mins in a T9, too. Dang! I might have to revise my standards (and I've put quite a few hours in this...).

why python vs type 9?

It boils down to personal preference, I guess. I also did T7 -> Python -> Conda. I loved the Python. Beautiful, great sounds, great feelings overall, amazing speed (it was pre-nerf ; it's still more than decent now, for trading purposes).

Yes, only 272T with shields, while a T9 would give 500T. But it's also how long you are willing to fly your ship. If you simply love flying it, time will, also, fly. Well, it was my mantra, at least. Also, Python allows for outpost docking, you get more routes options.

T9 are probably the most efficient, if you're talking math only. Once you've found a proper quick route, that is. Which shouldn't be that hard, with web tools.

How did you find it though? What process led you to it? I can't seem to trade to save my life. If it wasn't for rares and CZ's I'd still be in a bloody Eagle.

To find good trades, I use Slopey's tool. Extremely useful as I can see the round trip profit and estimate the round trip duration.

Don't do it!

I used thudds tools. I just searched for the lowest price of the commodity I want then the highest buying location from what ever system had the lowest selling price. I've been using the same systems for about 6 weeks now and it seems very stable. I also haven't seen it mentioned in this forum as yet so that's probably the reason why. But I'll narrow it down for you it's 54ly from sol. :)

I have a five station route with 6 stops - 2 of the stops will earn me 1100-1300Cr, two earn 1400CR + and the other two around 800. Its basically unused by human players so holds its prices pretty well
.
because it is 5 stations I have some variety its not just back and forth all the time, also I can access all but two ships in my route have a good outfitter. I can access just about all the commodities so I can pick up any of the "go collect" type trading missions as i just do my route and pick up the commodity on my way past.
.
Close by I have an anarchy, a good RES (neither of which are in my route) and conflicts quite often pop up in two of my systems
.
Basically Im quite a happy bunny

I found it "old skool" went and found a good high tech system and then went on a look around at the obvious stations (high tech to agri - extraction to refinery to industrial etc) built up knowledge of a few systems and using my own spreadsheet figured the best deals - then said ok this is a agri how many other agri are there and went to look at them and found which was best of the two and developed a better route each time

If the prices hold then keep working it. By the time you find a better you can often have wasted more time/credits then the difference would make.

My in system trip between 2 station with a T7 is 1800 + 800cr per ton round trip of 5mins.

So I would say your route good, but for how long I would not know.

I also uphold my own code of not dealing in slaves or drugs. As it is easy to make money trading these.
