Trade Routes Still Bugged?

Hey guys I've been trying to use the galaxy map's trade routes to churn a profit, but they seem to be bugged. I saw posts regarding this issue in the Gamma Archive forum, but it is still a problem. Other users are reporting the same issue. http://www.reddit.com/r/EliteDanger...de_data_seems_outright_wrong_or_am_i_missing/

I've been buying commodities the trade routes indicate should be profitable, but when I get to the system the exact opposite is true. I even checked every station in a system to ensure that was not the problem. It seems the trade route indicator on the galaxy map is all but worthless right now, at least in the systems I am currently inhabiting.

The trade routes display the information about the commodities being moved from system to system (the actual in transit goods). There was a post explaining it but I don't have time to research now.

It isn't the best system and the devs are redesigning/refurbishing it. If you have a better way to do it post an explanation up in the suggestion thread they usually look at most things even if they don't respond directly.

If the lines indicate profit that'd be fine, otherwise... having access to the prices in other systems/ports via the system view would also be good.

So when the map (and previous station information in the trade menu) both tell me a system is exporting weapons, and the system is NOT, and weapons are BANNED, is that correct too?

I dont think I ever used the map trade routes. Trading is super simple to work out just on your own. It tells you what's in supply and in demand on the commodities screen, it tells you what the galactic average is even. If you buy below the galactic average, you can't be doing much wrong. I look mostly for which economy type a starport has, and go by that. Bringing food to industrial planets, agrimeds and farm equipment to agricultural worlds, etc. In general, it's pretty self explanatory.

Unfortunately Ross 154 may be all about the fishing according to the info but they never seem to want marine supplies. :p

It worked fine in beta. I don't understand how they broke it. I have noticed the trade lines work in some regions and not in others. It's hard to reproduce since I never really know what region I am in.

Seen broken stuff as well although much less than what it used to be.

Saw a station saying it imported battle weapons from A and exported to B. Thing is both A and B consider battle weapons illegal and neither of them have black markets on the system, so... what?

I'm seeing a couple of odd things now and then.

In some of the systems where traffic is very limited, I'm still seeing commodities that are not produced locally showing up on the trade map as being exported from that system. I assume that as some of these systems have had very little activity, the fixes from the last week or so are still filtering through.

I'm also seeing system data being a bit wrong. They occasionally omit prohibited items and every now and then I'll see a system with a list of items that are repeated three times in the list.
