All CMDR's are invited to join in for 24 hours of non-stop random fighting, beginning at 0:00 UTC on the 15th of July. The rules? Simple! TRADE SHIPS ONLY, NO ENGINEER MODS. Juiced-up battle-traders are the true weapons of war.
This means that participants can fly any of the following:
* Hauler
* Type-6
* Keelback
* Type-7
* Type-9
Player groups are welcome to enter wings of CMDR's for organised 12v12 matches. If all goes well we'll try 14v14, 16v16, and higher.
During this event, we are hoping to stress test the Elite Dangerous networking and instancing system to its limits, break some "max players fighting in an instance" records, make dank videos and gifs, and have fun blowing each other up and getting blown up in unusual PvP ships. Fight, blow people up, die, repeat. For 24 hours.
Currently we have a large number of player groups signed up for this event, including SDC, AA, 13th, RSM, PA, Renegades, GPL, and many others. If your group is interested in participating, feel free to share the link around.
Is multicrew allowed?
Yes, although the only listed ship that is capable of it is the Type-9.
Are ship-launched fighters allowed?
Yes.
Are there any restricted weapons?
Yes:
* Seeker missiles - rather broken amounts of module damage, even when MRP's are equipped. Since all of these ships rely on hulltanking, they are banned. Dumbfire missiles are fine, however.
* Powerplay modules - in order to provide a fair and fun fight for people who have not participated in the 4-week grinds for powerplay modules, we are opting to keep these out of this event.
It is also worth noting that haulers are allowed to fit the enhanced performance thrusters that are available from Farseer's base in Deciat.
Here is the discord server being used to organise and host the event: https://discord.gg/v7vmDBK
The event will be taking place in the Bunda system, which is one jump away from Founder's World. If you are interested in joining the event, jump on the discord server and request to join one of the teams (Trade Federation or Galactic Republic). Player groups are strongly advised to split their members randomly across the two teams for the sake of fun.
May the best trader win!
