I see you've chosen an Eagle, which is fine. I flew an Eagle for a long time.

I'd recommend getting a Viper though. If you're trying to acclimatize to combat the Viper will be much more forgiving for not a lot more money, relatively speaking. An A-rated Eagle will run you about 2.1M credits, while an A-rated Viper will run about 3.3M credits. The Viper equipped with two small pulse lasers and two medium multi-cannons can shield tank incoming damage with 4 pips to SYS, and still have enough power to run the weapons with little downtime.

With the amount of money you have now I'd say viper. Super cheap very effective
but a viper can't jump, so I'd suggest a cobra if that's really important. More expensive not that spectacular in combat.
the vulture is the best PVE bounty hunter hands down and its jump range isn't terrible. Very expensive to fully kit in comparison.

I'd agree with the majority here - go Viper for now, it's a good solid ship for BH, and well in your price range.

But later, when you have 20 mill or so, go get a Vulture and spec it up, it's a brilliant scrapper.

I was interdicted by a 3 Sidey wing yesterday, and while KWSing them, another wing of 3 Eagles dropped in.

I annihilated them all

Anyway, get a Vulture when you can, then hit some RES or Combat Zones - lots of money to be made!

So I had a "doo" in an Eagle and got an NPC kill then thought blow it and bought a Viper and topped it out. I manged to bump off two more wanted NPCs. Luckily they dont seem to put up much of a fight. Had good fun and it makes a nice change to grinding the trade routes. First three bounties claimed !
