Nope. I've been making decent money trading silver around Sol, but nothing fantastic. Round about 30k profit per round trip in my Type 6 is the best I can manage.
High demand is really rare anywhere (especially in 'central' locations like Sol, Achenar, Lave etc.). Best would be to aim for high supply -> medium demand.
I have a route near Sol that I make a 1274cr profit per ton. I'm in a Type 6 with 112 cargo so my profit is a little over 142k. However, it's not a High Demand item and I've yet to come across any.
