Trading Beacons (aka Luxury Traders) are back? :O

Just came across this one. The last time I saw this, it was called "Luxury Trader" and it was in 3301 I think

Never knew they were back in game again. 5k hours and still something new... <3

ive seen one. fairly early into my elite journey, must have been over a year ago. he was looking for some booze. setting up a special space operation away from his home planet, secretly hiring pilots federation pilot just to get his hands on some booze... yeah, that one was definitely married

I’ve seen a couple of those pop up in high activity systems over the months recently - namely in CG systems, but also when LHS 1163 was buzzing because of BGS action against Azimuth.

Not that I’ve investigated them too closely. Mostly, you just get smaller-scale trading missions offered by the same NPC there, and I’m not much of a hauler anyway. So didn’t look into how well they pay out compared to just visiting the mission board(or what makes these pop up exactly).

I have seen them somewhat regularly. Not exactly frequently, but from time to time.

Nice find! I too remember the luxury traders and thought they were a feature that had withered and died around the time of the FSS and signal source rework. Heartened to learn these things are still out there to be found.
