Trading Commodities, Materials and Data between players

First of all, this is not a "Frontier, please give us..!" thread.
I just wanted to know what would speak for and against such a thing.
I myself can only see good stuff, but then again I'm no game designer and probably don't think of all negative possibilities.

What would be good:
  • different ways to make money for CMDRs
  • less grind for engineers for people who don't enjoy material gathering
  • more interaction between players

What would be bad:
  • the newly introduced material trader (which is awesome btw) needs at the very least a rework.
  • people grinding stuff for real life money - although this could be prohibited with certain game mechanics imho

Your thoughts?
