Trading data still a mess

I finally received a mission for the Imperial Navy: get 4 tons of personal weapons.

Okay. I check the galaxy map and after some searching find a system (Alano) that seems to export personal weapons. Fine.

It's a system with a station and two outposts and I visit all three. Result: no personal weapons are sold anywhere. I check the galaxy map again and I see that Alano exports personal weapons to a nearby system. I check out that system and yes, I see a small amout of personal weapons at a station there. Can't buy anything though since they only have "demand" and no "supply". Back to Alano, but no dice. No weapons anywhere. Black market maybe? Nope, only for selling.

I keep searching and after dozens of systems find another one which exports personal weapons. Same problem as in Alano though: despite the galaxy map clearly showing exports no station in system actually sells the item.

I ahve been informed by an alpha player that the *correct* way to do these missions is not to accept the mission, just read what they want - decline the mission and find the items they want, buy them, then come back and hope nobody else has done the mission in the meantime, accept it, and "insta-finish".

That still doesn't fix the problem of not actually being able to find the requested items due to the unusable galaxy map filter system in the first place though.

same problem here, looking for personal weapons everywhere. Found Ngaliba, but only demand, no supply. They source from GD219, Chaumunda, LFT1448. Chamunda is a democracy where personal weapons are prohibited, GD219 and LFT1448 cannot be found on map. Cool mission.
