Trading income rate per hour?

Currently, I'm flying my Asp without shields and 128 units of cargo per trip. Within 1 hour, I'm making 680k profit. I'm lucky enough to have found 2x stations within 44ls of each other, no interdictions. I sometimes have an NPC on the only pad I can land on at an outpost and rarely, I get a bit of traffic in the starport, which I obviously need to avoid considering I'm running without shields. (roughly 470-550 profit per unit)

Any comparisons out there? I'd be interested to hear.

It's a bit of a grind but I'm now sitting on 5 million, a comfortable cushion. I break the grind from time to time with a trek to the Nav Point, just so my Multi Cannons get an outing.

Last night I netted 4 millions. 1 million for hour with 128 tonne Asp.

Finally found a nice place where stations are not far from the sun. Distance between system 16.2 LY, so it is a single jump. Plus the other system has two stations closer than 100 LS to each other, with some supply and demand. I basically trade palladium, marine equipment and coffee.

Currently running a Type 7 with around 220 cargo space and shields near the Eravate system. Until now I had been removing the shields as they take up around 1/3 - 1/4 of the space of every ship Ive had so far, but on a type 7 they only take 16 tons out of my 240 or so, so they can stay, especially as I scrape it every now and then on the postbox. My current journey is around 25LY with 3 hops each way (mediocre FSD). The best stuff varies day to day but I'm doing around 800 CR profit per ton in one direction and 700 the other way, always metals and high tech stuff. About 6 minutes trip each way including faffing about in the station, docking etc, so currently around 1.5 million per hour.

I was one of those who played through gamma as if there wasn't a wipe so I'm fortunate enough to have gone through several ships and currently flying a Python (very few upgrades because it cost me everything just to buy it :D ). I've noticed something...

The type 7 was a nice upgrade but being unable to land on outposts meant there were almost no 100k+ delivery missions I could do and finding a decent trade route was difficult.

The Python has pretty much the same cargo space as the Type 7 so no real benefit there BUT... most of the REALLY good prices are to be found on the outposts. In one system Beryllium to buy is 8,100 in the normal base but 7,500 in the outpost. I can trade within the system and make a decent profit.

As more people get the ships that can't land on outposts I would imagine the disparity between both types of stations will increase. Combine this with being unable to carry out most delivery missions (in the type 7 I only had one mission in 4 days of playing to a station instead of an outpost) I'm not so sure any ship that can't land on outposts is all that useful.

I wonder if those who can't find decent trade routes are in ships that can't land on outposts?

I'm in a lowly Adder, nice little ship with a great Jump range once you get an A3 FSD fitted, I still have shields as I have too many accidents, so I have a cargo hold of 18, yes only 18 tonnes. However even with that small amount of space in 1 hour which is 3 round trips to 5 different systems I net 600k profit.

I'll be upgrading to my Cobra latter this evening once I have 4 million CR in the bank, then I can upgrade it immediately. I've also found an excellent station that seems to sell everything in Outfitting and has all 15 ships available to buy.

ADDITIONAL - SLIGHTLY OFF TOPIC

POINT OF NOTE: Don't upgrade to a new ship once you have the credits to do so, as you'll mostly find it worse than your currently upgraded ship and be back to a slow pace grind for a short while. A reasonable guideline is if you're thinking of upgrading your ship to a reasonable level have 10 times the cost of the ship available for those upgrades. So for the Cobra, which comes in at roughly 350k CR, look to have at least 4 million available before buying it. That still won't get it fully kitted out to "A" level hardware, as many cost 1.5mil CR. A fully "A" outfitted Cobra would probably set you back around 10 million CR.
