Trading questions

How dynamic do we want trade in E D to be?

1. Do we want players to set player to player buy/sell contracts?
2. What proportion of items to be bought or sold on a planet/starbase etc should be NPC generated vs. Player generated?
3. Should player trade be limited to instant selling on market, i.e. Trade goods cannot be put up for sale at a player chosen price and are up for sale until someone buys them. Rather players are forced to sell at whatever price the market demands at that time.


Just a few things that spring to mind. Any thoughts or other questions folks can throw out there?

I see trading as a much more dynamic in ED.

Not only will the stock market be available to quickly sell goods but I can see players being able to put notices on the BBS if they are looking for a certain item.

If for instance one player has knowledge of a system in desperate need of robots or medicines for example they could jump to a system where they can buy them relatively cheaply and either sell the on the stockmarket of post on the systems BBS and make a fat profit.

I know I'm taking reference from FFE's trading system but I assume it won't be that different.
