Trading Rare Commodities - Average profit per tonne?

Hey,

What are you guys finding for the average profit per tonne of rare commodities? Considering you sell them the max profit amount away (150 Ly or so). Does it vary widely depending on the commodity? What rare commodities make the most?

15k per ton if you max the distance from purchase point. Don't waste the credits buying any rares that have a base cost over 2k per ton as that eats profit margin.

And I say don't waste time ignoring rares that cost over 2k per ton, since that 13k per ton is still pretty good. I bet ignoring those rares will eat more of your cr/hr than selling for 13k/t instead of 15k/t.

Efficiency is not the be all and end all. I enjoy going on long, meandering cruises between exotic rare sites, building up those big 1.5 million hauls. Fun is the principal aim, and pure, grindy trading is less fun for me in large doses. Travelling the galaxy, seeing the sights and reading the flavour text for all the strange things is a great way to enjoy making money.

Yes i agree. Wandering around on a rares run and getting a bit lost and doing a bit of exploration and finding a nice rich system and eventually getting about 200lys for a 15k profit is pretty cool at the moment and a good antidote to trade runs in my T6. Not the most profitable but certainly very enjoyable
