trading tools out of date now?

I was using the well known tool to find a good trading route. I ended up with an asp this week . But then found another better route and tried it last night. Then today bought a t6 to take the cargo space, had to get more jump distance (so off to high tech), but by the time I got back to trading the deal was gone!

I haven't used a trade tool yet and don't think I will, but ya never know. I thought about it but have read that the good routes dry out fairly quickly do to them being public broadcast so to speak. I struggled the last two days in my new Clipper(large landing only) but found a good route today. I don't grind or count the Cr/hr, I just try to find a round trip that will make me at least 1k/ton one way and 1400+/tn the other way. When I find this I'm happy and do some missions to gain rep/rank or more dough².

I then head to the bar and try not to looʇsɹɐq ʎɯ ɟɟo llɐɟ


I find that the search is part of the fun also...

I don't use the tools except to find the closest source of whatever for a mission, but I'd expect they're pretty much toast now. With player trades now affecting prices, everyone is keeping the good routes to themselves. (As they should, IMO.)

Never used a trade tool (cough, hack) and never will. Spreadsheets in space? Shoot me now!
