Can we do ship to ship trading with these NPC's and Players or isn't it yet available? If so, how do we do it?

Just get close to the ship with the correct cargo and they'll automatically take the cargo and give you credits.
Just what I've read on this forum - not tried it myself.
Huh....I was wondering what those were. I saw a few of those in Delta Phoenicis, and when I clicked on them in my left side panel they showed info on an earth-like planet in my scanner info panel. I thought it was a bug. Now I'm off to do a forum search to learn more about these. Thanks for the heads up on what they are. 
Has anyone tried to trade with the Weapons Dealers in OVIMBIABAS?
I've got a hold full of non-leathal weapons and they seem totally disinterested no matter how close I snuggle up to them.

I completely randomly happened on a Trader seeking Computer components, while having some errrmmm.. "found"... components in my hold.
Didn't even remember i had them, until i got the message of receiving funds for cargo.
So yeah, you just fly close enough and they will magically take the Cargo from you..
I'm still confused what these traders are actually supposed to offer gameplay wise.. i mean, can you specifically search for them or something? Otherwise it's a really crappy lottery to have the right cargo at the right time.

[Reply] IDK bout contacting USS as these are random occurances...but supposedly they pay considerably more..several people have posted 2x profit with these USS transactions...cross fingers for true ship to ship trans. soon

I guess they're looking for personal or battle weapons then, I'll go get me some of those...
As far as gameplay goes, I agree the USS ones seema bit pointless, but the ones in the conflict systems sort of make sense, at least you know where they're going to be.

aaaand they don't want any personal weapons either.
Plus I can't see anywhere near here selling battle weapons.
I think these things should at least declare exactly what goods they want....
