Trading with settments?

Is it possible to trade with settelments like Oritz Venue in the system HIP 116436?

I set the filter in the Galaxy Map to search for imports of Imperial Slaves and found Oritz venue in HIP 116436.
So I set course only to find out that Oritz is a settlement and not a station.

So why ist important to know that Oritz venue imports Imperial Slaves if I am not allowed in any way (perhaps there is a way I do not know) to trade with Oritz?

And there is no station in HIP 116436 that imports Imperial Slaves... so from where does Oritz gets its slaves?

I guess it was a waste of time to fly to this system thanks to this game design.

Not sure what you mean? EDO settlements and EDH planetary cities have a commodity market so you can trade with them. EDH planetary installations don't, like Ortiz.

Anywhere there is a landing pad I think, you can. In Horizons you can't trade with Settlements (no landing pad) but Odyssey (Bases) you can. Why a Settlement with no commodity market is giving you trade prices I couldn't tell you. Possible bug resulting from Odyssey update leaking into Horizons maybe if that's the version you're playing?

edit: OK, pic uploaded, looks like you're playing Odyssey? Sure it is a Settlement? They are comparatively rare in EDO now.
Can't check for you, not a place I've been so I don't have access to a System Map of it.

Oh, yes you are right the settlement has a market.
I checked it out but only to find out as I landed that the price for Imperial Slaves is at 16769 and not at 18130 like it was shown in the Galaxy map.. ah I know because of the 720 tons of slaves I carry to the market (they are looking for 200 only).

Oh man..
So enough is enough... I will leave my ship to kill every one in this settlment, no mercy.

Settlements typically have Small pads. You can still land there in a bigger ship (as the pad is on a large flat area), but IIRC you won't count as "docked" if your ship is too big.

Varies quite a bit from system to system. Small ones are the most numerous, but the large pad ones don't seem that rare on the average. The medium pad one seems to be the rarest.
