Puts the emergence in emergencyHave naughty murdering players driven the faction into 'Lockdown'?
Sadly some don't like other people enjoying themselves so insist on being disruptive. All within the game mechanics though so we just need to collect bounties I believe to get it out of lockdown (and hope that can be achieved before the CG time limit expires). Mind you, if one is allied with the Brewer Corporation, the lockdown should not apply, in my opinion - would be useful if reputation with a faction actually mattered in such a way.I'm a bit lost... Flew to Trailblazer Echo after shortening my planned exploration trip, accepted the CG mission, but some services on the Trailblazer Echo are on lockdown for me. I have no clue why...

I know it's so easy to just assume it's the nasty griefers under the bed. But look at this:Sadly some don't like other people enjoying themselves so insist on being disruptive.
That and its in a tiny population system which will magnify actions.I know it's so easy to just assume it's the nasty griefers under the bed. But look at this:

tl;dr a Player Faction "Fatal Shadows" has long held this system, and now a CG has turned that over in a matter of a week.... so really... who is disrupting who?
Notwithstanding that, it's not unreasonable to think that during the war between Brewer and Fatal Shadows that people, well, fought the war. It's unlikely anyone supporting Brewer Corporation via the CG would have fought the war (but would definitely have caused it), while anyone supporting the PMF would have been supporting that faction, and therefore tanking Brewer's security status. And, post war, likely trying to reverse it.
So, it's very easy to clutch the teddy bear of "nasty griefers"... but let's not forget the imbalanced effect a random CG location can have on the BGS.
Of course, that's all supposition based on a brief look at the above... but in absence of a CG running, if you asked me why brewer went into Lockdown, it's because the faction they've overthrown are fighting back for control (and the variance in the other factions suggests plenty of non-CG activity going on right now)
It's written there in the CG text:Any hope of a fix FDEV? Or is this 'working as intended'?
Be aware that faction-state changes and other disruptive events can negatively impact markets and station services, and could prevent the initiative from running smoothly.
Why shouldn't it? If nothing else, doing so would make this sort of thing more likely to occur by not counting the actions of players in the CG, but counting independent counter-action.Maybe just NOT let the CG affect the local BGS for a start eh?
just a thought for the powers that be![]()

There's a comment I really liked in one of those talking about making it a pop-up CG... this is the sort of thing that needs to be leaned into and exploited... not shut down. My understanding was a while back a whole bunch of groundwork was done to allow that sort of thing to occur... but I guess that got forgotten at the back of the cupboard as well. From @Michael Ryan in the CG thread:

So, it looks like "working as intended"
Returned after a long time.. saw there was a community thingy to get a new shiny.
It does notThink I read somewhere that the CG gives 4x the regular payout for exploration data. So if that's true and depending on the amount of data you have available for turn in, this CG could make a huge difference.
You can do this 'for free' by FD avoiding high pop systems again. There's a comment I really liked in one of those talking about making it a pop-up CG... this is the sort of thing that needs to be leaned into and exploited... not shut down.
