This is a tech question, being that I am tech illiterate.
I was able to obtain a Xbox Series X.
On my Xbox One, all my games are saved on my 6TB external hard drive, with Elite Dangerous being one of the games. I have reviewed a few YouTube videos regarding transferring games via network transfer, but one of the videos stated that I could simply plug my external hard drive into the Xbox Series X and transfer whatever games I wanted onto the internal hard drive.
So these are my questions:
1. Can I actually just plug my external hard drive into the Xbox Series X and transfer Elite Dangerous (and other games of my choosing)?
2. If I can transfer Elite Dangerous via the external hard drive to the Xbox Series X, will I lose all the progress I have made (I've been playing for years, have many ships, and about 9 billion in the bank)?
3. If I can transfer Elite Dangerous via the external hard drive to the Xbox Series X, will I lose my controller settings and key bindings?
If I can think of other questions before I go pick up the new Xbox, I will definitely post them.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to read my posting, and for any help or advice that you offer. o7
P.S. If there are others that are still trying to purchase a Xbox Series X and/or PS5, I used the stock alert sites Zoolert and NowInStock. I only started using these sites yesterday and purchased the Xbox today after being alerted via web browser with no delay. I provided the links below.
