Ships Translucent Hull

The Dolphin may be my favorite of all the ships these days, but the translucent hull really bothers me. Does anyone else notice this? I think it affects all ships, but the Dolphin and Orca really amplify the effect. Specifically, the fact that my ship's headlights illuminate the interior of the ship through the hull, along with just how much light from a close star or other close light source seems to shine through, even when those light sources are behind me.

I had submitted a bug report on this awhile back, but never heard back from Frontier, nor has the problem been solved. It drives me nuts, and I'd sure like to see it fixed.

It's a Pierson's Puppeteers General Products hull, that's why it's translucent. ;) (for any Niven fans out there)

Nice! But its definitely not indestructible.

I thought it was just some thin plastic composite. Don't use thumb tacks to pin stuff up with.

Sounds funny, I might have to give this a look next time im on lol.

Call me crazy, but cockpit lighting used to be accurate. You would turn away from a star and it was pitch black in the cockpit. Now it seems impossible. It's almost always strangely bright inside.

This mod helps greatly with lighting (it creates the dark cockpit you are talking about on most ships), but the Dolphin is still broken.

I wonder what's the status of the development of Ringworld on Amazon. I so hope it's happening and not being cancelled.
