Transparent and Non-Transparent Helmet

What are your opinions on the fact that we cannot conceal our Face with the non-transparent Helmets anymore? Do you all think it's a big that we can't use them anymore or a choice made by Frontier?Personally I think It would look awesome in combination with the Dominator Suit.

It looks like part of the "we didn't have time for that" kind of thing, because slowly but surely they have been re-adding Horizons cosmetics to the game every few updates. I hope they add it again though. For the time being, while on foot you can force the helmet to be on at all times by using Night Vision.

Yeah, didn't they say in Update 8 they'd be reintroducing all the Horizons cosmetics into Odyssey?

(Personally hate all the helmets in Odyssey, the default ones look like someone sat on a fishbowl, and the Arx ones are all... well, ridiculous. Why in gods name did they think gluing a wide brimmed cowboy hat onto a helmet was a good idea?!?!)

I don't know anymore, I have a hard time of keeping track. Every time they do tell us something, it's because the plans have changed yet again.

And I don't know about those suit aesthetics either, then again there are some pretty wild paintjobs and kits for ships as well. If it were up to me I'd be reskinning all my layouts as a default coloured flight suit with an opaque helmet.

I honestly love the look of the opaque helmet

Anymore? Were we able to use opaque visors on the non-flight-suit helmets at some point?

I noticed that Frontier re-allowed us to use an opaque visor for the flight suit in a recent update, but I wish we could toggle the opaque visor for the other helmets as well.

It's been some time since I last played Odyssey, so I might be wrong here. But, if you go into your holo-me and select the option to keep your helmet on all the time (rather than only during emergencies) and press save, I think that will also force your helmet to stay on regardless of where you are.

It's been some time since I last played Odyssey, so I might be wrong here. But, if you go into your holo-me and select the option to keep your helmet on all the time (rather than only during emergencies) and press save, I think that will also force your helmet to stay on regardless of where you are.

What do you mean ? As far as I know we cant use the Opaque Visor in Odyssey but I hope you are right. Shame it hasn't been transferred from Horizons since launch.

I was reading your op when you said we couldn't "conceal our Face with the non-transparent Helmets anymore", and I thought you were saying we were able to wear an opaque visor on the newer suits, and now we can't.

But I think you're right. I didn't notice an option to use the opaque visor on the newer suits - only the flight suit. I tried using the opaque visor on the flight suit and then switching to a different suit, but the visor became transparent again.

Sadly thats how it is, I hope they fix it tho!
