Transport rides with one station

It seems that you can't have only one station on transport rides like the steam train like you could in PC1. I want the option to have round trip only rides in PC2. I think the little train is one station only.
 
For me the trains, people mover, etc, should be able to run either as a single station loop, or as transport rides. The code is clearly there as some of the rides work that way, they just need to be activated to allow them to operate each way. Almost certainly easier said than done, but I can't imagine it would be the most difficult thing to deal with.

But, in terms of prioritisation of work, I'd much rather guest pathing and AI, management tools, etc, get dealt with first before the little "nice to have" things.
 
Maybe it has to do with path finding. That guests use transport rides to get to places. So they could simple do

if ride has < 2 stations then do not do the path finding stuff and it would count as a regular ride
 
Yes, they did strange things...
The steam boat ride needs multiple stations, too. Just stupid because it's in channel, only and not a transport ride.
that's so crazy. I wonder how the developers came up with such an idea! I would love to have this ride without the canal as a transport ride and the one with the canal as a normal track ride with one station.. I hope that this will come. I also hope for a few more variations, such as swan boats
 
I just tried to find a workaround for transport rides to create a complete circle ride (and the steam boat for not being a transport ride)...

Building a circle and placing a second station in the first one doesn't work (collision detection).

Placing a second station (with a short straight between them or at the half way of a circle). You can close the second station. Trains will stop at the second station and go on. Peeps staying seated until reaching the first station again.
I thought that hiding the closed station would be a solution for comple circle rides. Unfortunately if closing the second station, peeps don't queue any longer...

Why is there no price per ride for transport rides? Because of pathfinding?

At least Frontier could copy each transport ride and set the twin to a normal ride...
Or the nicer way, an in ride option to set the mode.
