Trapped....

To summarize.

1. TARGET the star you're escaping, make sure it's EXACTLY behind you using the compass - this aligns you PERFECTLY with the escape vector.
2. Disable EVERYTHING but FSD & Thruster - this reduce your ship temperature.
3. 4-pip to ENG - might as well, you disabled everything else.
4. 100% thruster - DON'T boost
5. Start the FSD.
6. ????
7. Repair bill

Yes, and unfortunately only after the FSD has completely spooled up.
It shows right after it's ready to engage - requiring immediate action from you to point your nose right at it.

If it's outside your field of view, use the blue compass ball to locate it quickly...

SUCCESSSSS!!!! Thanks Tigga rofl......

Pressed the FSD and the Escape Vector was right on my HUD....was like YEAH!! Got into warp.....chickened out as things started to pop and flash lol. Dropped out of warp let her cool down a bit and regular warped out after which was fine still hairy but fine.

T9 Damages
66% HULL Damage = 750K Total

Better than 5.5 Mill lol

Thanks everyone for the help!

Right on Commander!!! :)
Waits for update when you approach docking port :p

Nice one. My record was 290% heat damage, 10% Hull left, I had flames coming out of the vents in my Sidey, it was really cool, well, actually it was really hot but you know what I mean. I thought I was a goner but managed to get away and limp to a station.
