Trappist-1 Lava Spouts: An Elite|Dangerous Timelapse

Simply beautiful- all of them.
Susanna if there was a big ship in that picture it would be my pc desktop picture- love it!

LoL - I deliberately kept the ship out of the shot to give a greater sense of isolation and being lost in the view. I'll take a version that includes the ship (conda) though in future to please all sensibilities :p

Woohoo - thanks

I love time lapses in Horizons .... it shows how deep is the simulation of the planets in the galaxy, which we can't detect with the human eye.

As a matter of interest, what software did you use to achieve this?

Makes me wonder at what temperature we see heat in the form of glowing molten rocks, and if in fact these would be warm – I would presume so, of course. It's interesting how well adapted we are to our local environment.

It's kind of chilly here.

They didn't have temperatures associated with them originally, but they added heat and particle effects in an update, so I tested it out by parking on one of them, took the shields down really quick I can tell you!

Of course water and carbon dioxide geysers wouldn't have a great deal of heat but the rock and iron ones let you know as soon as you get close enough.

That would be Cyberlink PowerDirector

usually it would look much smoother but I hadn't intended to make a time lapse. Just wanted to record for my own purposes and so I was taking acreenshots at the same time that I had to edit out when I decided it would look like a good Timelapse. There is one gram you can see the percentage complete of the high res shot but it is so quick that I could not nail it down in the editor no matter how much I tried. But all in all it turned out pretty nice and powerdirector is a useful little tool
