Astronomy / Space TRAPPIST-1: ultracool dwarf with exoplanets

Does anyone know if the TRAPPIST-1 star is in game, and if it has planets? I couldn't find it in an admittedly extremely brief search.

If not, I commend the idea of its inclusion to the House.

It will not be in game until they add it in. It was just another dim star of billions until they took a closer look. I hope FD adds named systems (even if not in exact location, trappist-1 is literally next door) just for the fun of it.

I had a look but couldn't find it in-game under any of the designations given here. http://simbad.u-strasbg.fr/simbad/sim-id?Ident=2MASS+J23062928-0502285

As it's only 40LY from Earth, my guess is that if there is something at the correct coordinates, it might have an "Elite Universe" name.

No, you didn't "do wrong" it's just that several people have opened up different threads on the same subject. This happens a lot with breaking space-news. Go figure: it's a forum for a space game! I'm sure a mod will get around to closing this thread and pointing people to the "main one" that people are discussing the topic under.
