Traversing a Sector Node

So, I'm ready to go get my hauler after building my capital empire in the LHS 3447 starting zone (though not that actual system). I've plotted a route to Aphra - which apparently had them on sale this month.

The trouble is one of the nodes on the planned route isn't a system it's a sector, which has nothing in it. How am I supposed to get passed this node on the route - literally super cruise through it?

Not I have a totally vanilla Sidewinder.

Possibly I'm reading it entirely wrong. Let me go in and have another check. It was this morning it was confusing me.

There are systems called/beginning with the word 'Sector', even though they are still individual systems. The word 'Sector' short-circuited the OP's neural network, resulting in the incorrect assumption of a Sector not being a System.

Hah...the system map now does something, pretty sure it wasn't available before. Anyway, the answer is it's a system with a star and no stations or planets. I'll try jumping in and onward.
