Travesty of epic proportions

Diamondback Scout has the DBE cockpit. Simply horrifying.

So I guess I sort of get why the asp ex/ scouts and DB ex /scout and the federal ships (and presumably the T6 / keelback are clones of each other because I suppose in a way it is just like a saloon/hatchback/estate versions of cars.
(Don't get me wrong some customisation would have been nice a bit like the piping in the federal ships)

But what really irks me is the viper mkIV that is a new "mark" look at say an escort MK3 to a MK4 and there is hardly any comparison.... Esp the fact it is a cut and paste with the same wear and tear

Just to be pedantic (you knew there would be one :p ) I believe the mk4 was just a facelift to the mk3 - as opposed to the mk2 which was a completely different (and in my opinion better) vehicle.

They weren't clones though. They had different cockpits and now the DBS has the uglier DBE cockpit. It's a weird bug. The DBE had the colors of its panels and screens changed too, but the light coming from them are the original yellow so you have blue screens with yellow light coming from them. It's a mess.

And at least the DBS/DBE, Keelback/T6, and the fed ships all have slightly different exterior models. The Viper 4 is basically the Viper 3 with a kit.

Really? I knew about the piping in the federal ships being different but I thought the DB and ASP ships were clones of each other. I stand corrected :)
RE the escort..... Possibly not the best example then ;) but I think the MK4 was a bit more modern iirc

The Mk3 and Mk4 Escorts were very similar except for the grille. I had the utter misfortune of owning a 1994 Escort (which was possibly a Mk6, although the Mk5, 6 and 7 were all the same basic shape and were distinguished mainly by the shape of the grille). It had what was later rebadged as the 1.6 16v Zetec engine, and it was utterly rubbish in every possible way. It had no power, the steering wheel didn't appear to be connected to the roadwheels, and it felt cheap, nasty and plastic in a way that earlier cars never managed. The Escort mk5/6/7 was the bridge between cars with character, and cars that were competent. Sadly, the Escort was neither.

It looked like this, except it had body coloured bumpers and a stupid spoiler. This picture was hard to find, and I'm not surprised that Escort owners were too embarrassed to have their barely-mobile shed photographed.
