Trees, Grass Leaves should Move

When the dinosaurs move and their body hits grass, leaves it should sway. Now it looks like they move right through it.

At 1:30 a dinosaur walks through some vegetation which doesn't react to the collision.

During close-up camera shots, the nearest vegetation should be more detailed.

I noticed this in the footage as well, its the one thing that sort of broke immersion in the gameplay I saw. I'm inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt on this, especially since its so far before the release date.

I would take moving foliage as dinosaurs walk past over increased detail. I'm assuming most of the time your camera angle will be from a "birds-eye-view", in which case the level of detail we've seen already is more than sufficient.

Yeah generally people will play it from a top-down angle view. If there's an option to walk around like in Planet Coaster then people will check things in first person view. This will be used more often than in PC, because people want to see the dinosaurs and animals up close.

noticed the grass was considerably lower res than other stuff. Suspect a lot of the vegetation is placeholder. A case of priorities. Remember this is Jurassic World Ev., not Botany Planet, Perennial! :)

I agree it would be nice if the foilage has better enviromental interaction with creatures and the weather. They still have time to polish this and knowing the interview they addressed they were going to continue to support after launch much like Dangerous: Elite and Planet Coaster.

I think the game is still in development and I am sure they will do something with the vegetation and contact with the Dinos before release. The vegetation looks good. Maybe the grass can use some work. But I think expecting to see every blade of grass bend is a bit much to expect.

Also it looks like they will be using the Cobra engine for JWE. I was playing Planet Coaster and I see some similarities in the two games. Especially the sky and clouds. It might be a more capable version of the Cobra engine as well. So I am expecting Planet Coaster levels of detail in building a park.

Honestly, first priority is dinosaurs/ buildings/ gameplay etc.... I'm sure swaying grass is complete bottom of the to-do list. However, i do think it would be a nice touch and remember the game IS still in development..... I think it would be awesome to see this stuff, im not to fussed in 3rd person but as soon as you get into 1st it would be awesome to have the little details like that come to life.
