trees in the background

Now I know this might seem like a rant over something inconsequential but hear me out. For the longest time I've been trying to figure out what it was about RCT1 and 2's visual style that just feels missing from RCT3 and PC. Trees! There's none of them in the background that extends outside of the park! In 1 and 2 it felt like a somewhat believable world in that you could imagine life going on outside the park. In 3 and PC though it just takes away from the believably of there being a world outside of the park.

If your talking about the sandbox mode, the background for both of them were just dark nothing. Planet Coaster at least makes it more realistic that the outside world isn't just a void and for us to believe there is an outside world. If Frontier makes scenarios they will probably be more detailed.

You`re really right man, thats a thing that bothered me from the beginning, i just thought they will add those later on, cant stay like this! also the heaven and clouds look really unrealistic, thats just some things i dont get, small things that make a huuuuuge visual difference and gives everything a much more believable realistic feel! I can be wrong, but I think that the actual "map" (and the background that goes with) is just a placeholder for the alpha.

I am pretty sure we will have larger maps with most beautiful backgrounds in the final version (which surely depend on the scenario/mission, or the type of map "biome" selected in the sandbox)

That's why I think it is a bit early to judge this aspect [yesnod]

I don't know what you are playing, but i got a complete scenery (with trees) outside the park. Not a forest but a landscape.

It is true that there are barely some/none within border of the future park ground. Sandbox seems the magic word there.
