Tribute to Beta 3, 12 min video to send off Beta.

Now that Gamma is here, Im almost missing the Beta, not because Gamma isn't an improvement in every way, simply it means our privileged access is coming to an end. It's been so much fun, so a tribute video from my Beta 3 experience. These last few months have really changed my life. Before I'd never edited a single video, and so this Beta stage has instilled in me, skills I wouldn't have normally bothered to learn.

Thanks to all at Frontier, and Forum participants, I've learnt so much these past few months.

Really nice video. Combat with FA off looks real fun! :D

Thanks resmania, appreciated. I can't get enough of the game to be honest piloting with no assist, watching Isinona's exploits was such an inspiration so had to learn. I messed it up a bit with the pinball about the station innards, I'm sure there's a few invisible barriers that one cant see in that central pillon area, I should have chose to enter through each side of it where it's a bit wider ;). And I totally messed my approach to the entrance. Was on a time schedule to get it out before the Gamma and the initial intro footage took the longest to create and so ran out of time for the rest really.

Thanks again for your kind words.

P.S: have you not tried flying with Flight Assist Off at all yet? I much prefer the floating/falling feeling one gets with the drift.

I tried it, but it was bit too hard for me even though I'm a long time flightsim player. Space flight is whole different thing I guess :D

Long time flightsim, I'm presuming you speak of DCS or something similar. I used to play BlackShark and A-10 Warthog which were a lot of fun, but sure, youre totally right, the space flight with no aerodynamic mechanics are a completely different approach. To be honest it really is about getting one's head in the zone of drifting, what you say about space flight being a whole different thing is 'nail on head', one would almost need to un-learn the skills gained from aero flight so they don't hinder ones approach.

Practice makes perfect and all that. I'm still in the practice stage, probably always will be. ;)
