Triggerable Barriers (Kerbs)

I was thinking... since we have triggers for Rides and we got the Kerbs which stops people going certain places, and some nice Train Signals...

Why not put it all together and make the Kerbs triggerable. Which would mean, when we sink Kerbs in the ground, and a Train comes and triggers the Kerb it gets activated which in turn stops people going over the rails (crossing) and when the train reaches the second trigger it gets deactivated so people can move freely again :D

What say you?

As much putting a crossing that is in high demand [up]

My opinion throughout:

Agreeing that we need triggerable kerbs/barriers! That in itself would be great. But if we're talking about train crossings, I think we need more -- it needs to be directional, so the kerbs/barriers coming on don't trap guests on the track.

Also, something like a triggerable Vista Point. Stopping at a crossing gate for a train to go by should be a minor scenic event for guests, kids bounce up'n'down and point, some people take pictures, that kind of thing.

Agreed! As much as I like the idea, it's more complicated than just turning the kerbs and barriers into triggerables. Peeps would get stuck between like KickAir mentioned, and currently peeps turn away if they encounter a barrier, rather than just waiting. A new, specialty object would need to be created for this purpose... but I would love to see that happen! (And I love the idea of them stopping to watch the train and kids being excited to do so!)
