Triggers at start of Flat Rides

I don't know about you guys, but I love triggers on my rides, especially flat rides where you ride through fog or narrowly miss a fireball during the ride; however, you can't trigger an effect at the start of the ride, where I like to build up hype with effects like smoke pouring up from beneath the riders and the like: would it be possible to add a trigger option so that as the ride starts up am effect can be triggered?
 
I think what you're really asking for is a trigger that goes off BEFORE the ride starts. You can already have triggers that go off simultaneously with the ride starting. Each time a new ride animation begins, including the 1st animation, you can add triggered events. If you don't put delays on these triggers, they go off at the same time the animation begins.

That said, some flat rides have a "pre-launch" animation, such as lifting the seats from the loading to the operating position. This one you have no control over, and can't add triggers to. So yeah, having that ability would be nice and do just like you want. As the seats are going up, you could have the ride trigger effects to build the excitement.
 
I know it's not ideal, but, you can time the ride from the beginning of the last sequence, loading, and start up, and delay effects to go off at start up via the last sequence.

Until it is made easier, you can still do it now. ;)

Timeline will do it for sure, Bitter, this is doable until you have a breakdown that is, still very good idea though.
