Way back in 2016, sitting in front of that Commander creation screen, I couldn't decide who my CMDR was going to be. Would she be a explorer? A trader perhaps? Or maybe her fortune would be found on the galactic battlefield? Yeah, nah - all of it please.
So with my eyes set on becoming Triple Elite all that was left was to find a fitting name, reflective of the aspiration. And as luck would have it the perfect name already existed and to my delight was still available - Treya, meaning "One who walks on three paths". Little did I know that it would take me five years to get there, but today, finally, I get to leave my own entry in this fine thread.

I'm not sure, do you mean "elite I" stuff like that ? If so, they added more rank after elite. Elite I, II, III and so on. It's not retroactive, it only takes the XP you earned since EDO into account.

I got the triple in Horizons and stubbornly did it without any engineering. Trade first, then Explorer and then Combat.
I also travelled to Beagle Point in a stock DBX with a jump range of 36.6LY. The fuel scooping loops were the killer as the DBX only takes a class 4 scoop. It's documented here
Now, of course, every one of my ships is fully engineered but I wanted to prove to myself that 'big stuff' is possible without engineering, even though engineering makes pretty much everything easier.
