Newcomer / Intro Triple Monitors PORTRAIT HUD options...

Hey all.

I have 3x 2560x1440 monitors put together in SLI in portrait mode and bezel corrected giving me a reoslution of 4620 x 2560. However, in game the bezels cover some really important parts of the menus and hud.

As far as I can see, theres no way to move these, or scale it yet so it fits better.

Any ideas? Games not playable like this :(

That's pretty unfortunate placing.

I have no experience (lucky enough) to have a 3-screen layout (I'm only rocking a 1080p G-Sync setup though...) but perhaps altering the FOV setting will slightly move the hud?? something check it out.

Try a FOV of >75 (you need to alter settings.xml) or the lowest you can set ingame. Or, if you have the space, try the monitors in landscape orientation.

Those bezels are unfortunately placed indeed, but I'm still jealous.

What a great looking set up !
Wish I could afford that !

If I did that at work they WOULD notice

You might get more help in the technical forum if you can find it. Low foot fall, but they are gear heads

Speaking multiple monitors in general, how flexible is ED? The requirements?
I have two monitors jacked into 1 card and don't see an option to use both.

Honestly, the info that is obscured is not that important, imo. The issue us that the physical bezels break the image up in a way that distracts the eye.

I run 3x1080p monitors in surround at 5760x1080 and use Facetrack NoIR to manage headlook. It works very well.

You need to spread your desktop so that it covers both monitors then start ED and choose the resolution of your full desktop.
Unfortunately though, two monitors will put the center of screen (firing point) right in the join :(
Three monitors or one, two doesn't really work well.

Damn Mr Monkey me too !!

I did use to have them in horizontal, but 99% of the other games I play were awful in this mode due to lack of fov options and zoomed edges.

Portrait is def the way to go for most games. Its a shame the ui is so limited in this title.

Portrait is always sucky in sim type games - the bezels are always over important stuff, hence why landscape is far better for tripleheaded. I don't get why people would run portrait over landscape in triple headed mode - I've tried it several times, and all it does is provide the same FOV as a single monitor with bezels in the way, as opposed to landscape whereby the center monitor is as per usual but the other two add more ambiance/awareness etc etc.

I told you. Fov.

Most games in horizontal are awful as 2/RDS of your extra monitors are zoomed in beyond use and look god damn awful.

Until you've got a triple monitor setup you won't understand.

There is stretching in a landscape orientation, but I treat the extra monitors as peripheral vision. There aren't any HUD displays or anything critical there, so you actually don't spend that much time looking out the side monitors.
