Newcomer / Intro Triple Screen Graphics Card Advice

Hi all, I have not even played the game yet as I need to build a rig to play it on. Looking for a little advice on Graphics card and CPU.

I want to play the game on triple monitors (1080p) with everything set on high. Any advice on the Min card / cards ill need to do this ? I will not be using the system for anything else.

Also on CPU (I want to go Intel), will an i5 do or do I need to go i7 ?

Thanks

If you want only FullHD resolution, anything from GTX860/960 is golden.

The only important thing is for the card to support triple monitor output. :p
As for the CPU, K series of i5 will do just fine. If you don't need the best of everything, there's no need for a hunt after more cores or a bit higher clocks. Elite isn't actually that demanding. (unless you demand 4K, 140FPS and other atrocities.)

Thanks.. Assuming the GTX 960 is OK etc, Are you saying subject to three outputs I just need the one, not 2 in SLI ? The 960 can be had for a good price

The game isn't particularly CPU intensive.

As for a GPU, you'll probably find that a 2GB card isn't enough to run it on high settings. I run a single 4GB GTX970 with triple monitors, and get ~50 FPS in stations running on max graphics with AA set to SMAA (IIRC). My old 2GB GTX670 choked on those settings, and I had to run the game on medium with AA off. There are some lovely high-res textures in the resources; use them.

I'd go with 3x980 cards. nVidia is always better than AMD unless your main concern is budgetary.

Nvidia Surround is a joke - Eyefinity blows it away and always has been the better multi-monitor option. Also triple SLI is bad, 3x the latency of 1 card, no thanks.

Just get 1 large monitor and forget triple screen.....

if you already have a 22 - 24" screen... keep it as a sidey

I love my spanned monitors. It really boosts the feeling of flying when you can see movement in your peripheral vision that is coherent with the rest of the experience.
