Tritium Please at good prices?

I read somewhere that instead of mining for Tritium, you can park your Fleet Carrier (FC) outside a mining site and offer a better price than the current selling price. Then, people will fill your FC with Tritium. Is that right? I'm coming from the centre of the universe back to the bubble. What's the best mining place to do just that?

I don’t remember where I did that in the bubble and I have moved since but that is what I pretty much did when I arrived back.

I used third party tools to find a system roughly where I wanted to be that had stations selling Tritium then set a buy price above the stations sell price. Then I got on with whatever I was interested in doing, I used the same approach in Colonia where it worked faster.

A tricky one that. Anywhere you have a known good spot for mining will have others in the same spot - likely with a max price buy order, because who likes waiting around?

When I flew my carrier from Colonia after buying it up there, I just set up a max price order for 4000 tritium and it was there by the time I logged in the next day.

not as much mining site as a trading post. you find some place that sells good amount of tritium, park there and set buy order thats better than the stations sell order... not my practice but ive heard it works fairly well

having a link to inara is probably the best way.
go to the site, create a profile, link your account and then either update your info manually via your inara profile page, have an automatic inara update (that takes place daily iirc) or have some kind of 3rd party tool do that for you automatically (i use edmc which automatically updates my location and stations market at every dock).
just for the purpose of updating your carriers market the manual update should suffice. your carrier will then be listed with all the other markets on the site and commanders will be able to find it.

I just set my carrier to buy between 70-100k, update Inara and wait for nature to take its course, people will fill it. I know some people use Tritium Monkeys, they're like Fuel Rats for fleet carriers and will fill you up crazy fast.
