Roller Coasters TRON coaster ride POV from the 80s film version re creation!

I think I broke my neck about a dozen times during the bike bit but it was totally worth it. [tongue]

The way everything was staged, the sets and scenes, effects...the music and dialogue clips.....it's extraordinary, a top tier Planet Coaster creation [up]

That was absolutely astounding!!!

Apart from the neck snapping (but completely necessary) turns on the light-cycle sequence, I'd totally love to ride that. I have to admit, with no pictures to look at and just a YouTube link, I wasn't expecting much, so I apologise, so it was such a shock to see such amazing stuff. when I was watching, All the way through that video, if my mouth wasn't on the floor, it had a big, fat, stupid grin.[up]
That was truly fantastic. All the models were done so well and it had all my favourite parts of the film in there. The neon was really outstanding. I can't imagine how long it all took.

I love to see some pics from the outside of the structure or in daytime so we can get an idea of how big this whole thing is and how it all fits together. I looks huge. I can't wait to see what else you come up with.

Really cool to see that.

To add a little more to it for instance where the red and blue bikes are about to hit each other you could have a trigger that as you pass it the explosion happens as if they did connect or similar.

that was great - this time and effort is massive. it looks so close tot he real thing especially because of all the recreated pieces you made. they are right on. I especially like the light cycle section with the light walls...very creative.

@curlyriff: I actually did have explosion triggers, but took them out. they didnt work that well in the dark. I left a few as your breaking out of the cycle scene into the city

What a way to jump into the madness :) Welcome aboard and congrats on your immediate elevation to demi-god status. That ride is not only technically brilliant in all aspects of the game, it transcends that and ascends to the long-lost high and far-off plane of gods and heroes that once existed before AOL became a thing. Which was subsequent to when the original Tron appeared, to be greeted by high hopes and aspirations instead of being dismissed, as it is today, as just another cheesy Disney movie. Thanks for taking me back to my misspent youth as a hacker of mainframes, back when those were the only computers in existence and hacking was done with punchcards :D.
