Back in Jurassic World Evolution 1, dinosaurs had this shared social interaction where members of a species would gather together into a circle and chatter amongst one another in that circle. It was weird and artificial to see every dinosaur that wasn't a large carnivore perform this social circle back then with no other social interaction to witness.
Now in Jurassic World Evolution 2, each dinosaur thankfully would execute a social interaction that is more lively and intimate that helps each other stand out from one another. With that said, I do see a potential of seeing the social circle return, but to be used exclusively to a select number of dinosaurs, which I think the troodon and Dromeosaurids could benefit from this as an additional social behavior.
The Jurassic Park franchise would often emphasize how intelligent velociraptors are as a species, and we even see them socialize with one another in the movies in small yet crucial moments. Troodon has also been showcased as very intelligent from their depiction in Jurassic Park The Game, which JWE adopted the poisonous bite from. I think if the Troodon, Velociraptor, and other dromaeosaurids such as Deinonychus, Pyroraptor, and Atrociraptor were to come together once in a while to form a social circle, it could add an additional social behavior that would define them further from the other dinosaurs and small carnivores in the game.
This could also open the opportunity to have this social circle be used as a setup for hunting larger prey or escaping their enclosures, which are dependent on the Alpha:
• If the alpha for example has the aggressive trait, she could slightly buff her pack mates she socialized with in order to better take down larger prey with a higher chance of success.
• Whereas if the alpha has the intelligent trait and notices a means of escape, she could share this knowledge with her pack members and attempt to escape together.
As an additional social behavior, it helps makes these small carnivores stand out from the other small carnivores and would be an interesting observable from the top-down perspective. As a setup to hunt and escape, it could be both exciting and dangerous to see what chaos could be brought about when incubating the more social and intelligent carnivores, and something players have to take into consideration when managing these pack hunters.
