A few days ago, I published my Tropical Treasures Zoo, my way of celebrating the release of the Tropical Pack. I finished it just the other day. There's a link to it at the bottom. After entering Jungle Plaza, the hub of the zoo, you can traverse through three themed areas: the African Rainforest, Indonesia, and South America.
Jungle Plaza
I tried to create a mix of a few of the themes to create a sort of blend of wild, exotic, tropical vibes with modern New World vibes. There's even a small pair of tortoise enclosures near the entrance to Indonesia, as well as a peafowl habitat next to Gardener's Café. I'm particularly proud of the centerpiece that guests see upon entering, and it looks particularly amazing at night.
African Rainforest
I tried to include as many icons of tropical Africa in the African Rainforest area as possible. This includes smaller animals, such as the red river hog, the Nile monitor, the aardvark, and the warthog; ungulates such as the Bongo and the Okapi, and large primates such as the mandrill and the western lowland gorilla. There's even a large Madagascar house containing the three species of lemur and the fossa.
South America
This area is home to jaguars, giant anteaters, and giant otters, but there is a major highlight of the area: a large walkthrough habitat featuring capybaras, capuchins, and a large temple in the center. Within the temple lies the sloth walkthrough exhibit surrounded by a series of exhibits containing reptiles, amphibians, insects, and arthropods.
Indonesia
I'm really proud of this area. This is mainly due to my figuring out how to properly use the Indonesian theme thatched roof pieces. I'm also really happy with how the temples turned out in two of the bigger exhibits: one includes lar gibbons and siamangs, and the other includes proboscis monkeys and elephants. There's an underwater viewing area for the water monitors and saltwater crocodiles, babirusas near the main entrance, Malayan tapirs near the South America-Indonesia entrance, orangutans next to the marketplace dining area, and a trail through a bamboo grove that allows you to see sun bears, binturongs, and komodo dragons. I also encourage you to view this area at night, as I feel as if the lighting in the thick jungles can give off a bit of a cozy feeling.
Anyway, I hope you like it, as I put a lot of time and hard work into making this zoo a great one. I hope to do a similar one for the Arid Animal Pack, which could be the last "pack celebrating" zoo I might be able to make before law school takes up most of my time (sorry for the humble brag).
Sorry, I couldn't include any pictures!
