Newcomer / Intro Trouble finding targets

Hey All,

A little advice please. I've been popping into nav beacons, and USSes - haven't even found a system with a RES yet - looking for targets to take down in a kitted out sidewinder (I'm holding off on getting an eagle/viper until I have more credits for modules). Unfortunately I keep finding few targets and the credits are just trickling in. Are some systems better to hunt in? How can I tell which ones to go to?

Kremainn has RES and should not be far away from you.

scout the galaxy map, look for systems that have gas giants with belts. also look at the deposit reserves (major or pristine is good)

some systems with good RES: dheneb, ga gu, scirth, cartu

Thanks for the tips, I'll check them out.

I have A grade sensors but I'm not sure how that helps - can you elaborate?

Better sensors offer greater range.

Don't just look at sensors though, look out of the cockpit for weapons fire which will invariably involve Wanted targets. Once spotted, move quickly to get some of the action before it's resolved.

Also to make the credits come in a little faster, a Kill Warrant Scanner is helpful, though you might have to travel to cash in some bounty claims.

Thanks guys for your advice! Found a system with a couple of RESs - I'll be in a viper by tomorrow!

Although boring, I found a good way to get some quick bounty money as a new player was to simply exit to main menu once you've found all the wanted targets at the area you're in, and reload.
