Newcomer / Intro trouble trying to mine

Is anyone else having trouble trying to mine? I can laser off chunks, lock on to the first, scoop it, but then I cannot lock on to another chunk. I can see them both on radar and out the window, but I cannot lock on? I am using a t.flight stock X from thrustmaster. I have mapped both a joystoick button and a key on the keyboard, but I just cannot lock a 2nd fragment. I turned in a report, but only got the standard we are real busy e-mail response.

I want to know if anyone else is having an issue, or better yet has a fix for it.

I never heard of such bug.
Have you tried to target the chunk from Contacts menu in your left panel?

I've been mining for a while including in 1.1. I have had no such problems. Target, Collect, Allocate, Repeat.

sounds like a target selection problem

try selecting the target via the "Contacts" tab in your left hand panel
