Engineers Trouble unlocking engineers?

Heya, I'm wondering if this has been reported after the latest update or if it's a fluke. I tried to unlock Lori Jameson, and he took my first 16 units of ale, but when I brought the last 9, she took it then didn't give me access. The progress counter is back to 0/25 and I don't have the ale anymore. I even waited 2 hours in case the servers couldn't keep up but it's still locked.

I submitted a ticket but I'm curious if it's happened to other people.

Engineers have been all kinds of screwy for me as of late. What you described happened to me on a few occasions but going back and forth between screen fixed that for me. Now I have it even worse with Broo Tarquin. I received an invitation from him, So I went and bough Fuji tea for him. When I got into the system the marker had disappeared. I Relogged once and nothing happened. Closed the game, went back in and everything was fine. I gave him 15 tons of Fujin Tea, so far so good. Then I go buy it some more go back to his systems fly to him and now I'm considered a hostile while his outpost disappeared from the map. No amount of relogging and restarting the game has helped this time...

What the hell...

Edit: Flew away from the planet and relogged then went back in, this helped. Still this is a bit ridiculous.

I tried what you just described and yes, it seems that going back and forth between screens seems to switch engineer status. It's damning because the engineer became locked after I came out of a modification.

I also noticed that I got an insane FPS drop when I approached the planet on which Jameson Base is located. Not other bodies, just that particular one. Really bizarre.

Yeah Had that happen to me with didi too, but like I said just changing screens a few times fixes it eventually. Broo on the other hand has been hostile to me every single time I return with a new tea delivery. And then I have to do a bunch of nonsensical instance swapping and relogging until I'm finally friendly somehow and he lets me in. Oh and when I get In it's the same as with you guys. Sometimes the counts are screwed and I have to fiddle around with the menu screens.

I had to log out and back in again to unlock ram someone or other after i handed in data scans. So give that method a go.

I just had a similar experience trying to unlock tier 4 upgrades with felicity farseer.
Each time the bar would have gone over 100% it just seemed to reset to 0 without giving me the next level access.
