Trouble with Quest Buy and sell

Hello. I havge trained Elite some Time.
Now i have some moissions where i must buy supply and sell them in an other System.
If i buy the Supply on the Station the Message needed Supplies are still 4. I had buy 4 Supplies but it isnt counting. I had once transferred some supply from the questgiver but these were illegal, because they were stolen. As soon as my freight has been scanned i was getting a fee.

What i am doing wrong ? Or is it a bug ?
Should i delete Elite and install again ? As i downloaded Elite i had a different PC that now.

If they are asking you to move stolen goods, the trick is to not get scanned

There are ways to do this, but I'm not terribly well versed in them - silent running, heat-sinks, and manoeuvering to avoid being scanned (keeping station between you and authority ships, etc), but they're not things I've done very much of, or in a very long while.

I found this link to a thread elswhere on the forum about avoiding scans. its a five year old thread, so i can't vouch for the validity of the links or info in it any more (gameplay elements may have changed radically since then), but its a starting point, maybe.

Are you talking about a Fetch Mission? "{Faction} requires xx tons of {Commodity}".
There is no Mission type where you would "Supply and sell them in an other System".

Be sure to

• attain the required Commodity legally (purchase from an appropriate Market)
• when you're back at the place where you got the Mission from, do NOT sell the Cargo into the Commodity Market but make the Transfer via the Mission Page (will have a little (!) Symbol, indicating an active Mission)

If it is a mission asking you to take stuff to some-place else then you have to load the mission cargo in the mission details screen. It is a depot facility - you click the plus button (1) on the bottom to determine how much you want to take from the depot then click the collect items button (2) to actually transfer the cargo into your ship.
