Troubles with connecting (switched from Epic to Steam)

Around a year ago I got Elite Dangerous from an Epic Games offer, and everything was fine. I played quite a while without problem

Today, a friend of mine bought me Elite Dangerous for Steam via Instant Gaming: he gave me the Steam Code, and I tried playing with it. I uninstalled the game from Epic Games (but not the launcher! I suspect that this is what is causing all this trouble) and downloaded it again via Steam. When I try to connect, it says that I must buy or redeem Elite Dangerous, which I already have because I just downloaded it. I tried linking Steam to my Frontier account, which worked, but only for this. It didn't helped me on my main issue, and even though my Frontier account is linked with Steam, it doesn't let me even launch the game.

Anything I can do?

Problem solved itself when I just put the launcher I had with Epic in the trash, cleaned the trash and restarted the game entirely after a computer forced shut-down

its amazing how many problems can be resolved...…………
by turning the pc off then on again ;)
well after getting rid of redundant files
