I know it's not finished.. I know it's not complete.. I know it's beta.. but..

I'm having a whale of a time tonight and this is fulfilling so many boyhood fantasies about what future computer game technology would achieve!

It's deja-vu though. Since Elite in '84 I've had this feeling before, in '93 when I bought Frontier:Elite II! Bring on Elite V in another generation's time, I say!

I know exactly how you feel, and I fully agree! Yes, it's just a beta. Yes, it is still very buggy and not at all complete. But already the "game" (if you can call it that at this stage) is way more fun than the vast majority of finished products out there.

Hmm, the idea with Elite 5 is nice. I can already see myself thirty years down the road, starting up my computer with just as much enthusiasm as I do today... hehe.

How old's DB now though, early 50's? (Hope I'm not being rude..)
We'll give him another 5 to see this one through and then I'm afraid it's a couple of decades of hypersleep for the chap. Keep him fresh for the next one. You know, to take advantage of the Oculus cerebral implant dev kits, etc.
