General / Off-Topic Trying to buy F Dev

Yep. For the last week, I've been trying to buy stock in FD. It's listed and I know the symbol. but it can't be found by my broker account. Bummer.

It's a bit down today and the P/E is a tad high, but the future looks great if you pay attention to the news and their strategy. It also has some personal value to me as a player of ED.

So for now, I dumped my cash into Nvidia. There are rumors of a new card to be released in August and it has some personal value to me as well.

I'll try again to grab up some sweet FD before long. Hopefully, before it shoots through the roof. It's a solid company and could make some serious coin.

It could work (and is the ONLY reason I keep trying the lottery!)

i think braben is still the majority holder. not sure though, but the info is there if anyone cares.

@mottikhan, imo you already missed the window. if you had invested more than a year ago you could sell now with excellent profits. now you have to gamble. i wouldn't, but it's not my money! :D

That wouldn't be all that difficult to engineer. There are some genuine technically skilled and brutally devious people here. We'd just need a watery name and a number.

Now - about that Polo. It's originally had a hole in it. Now it's split in half - seeing as you can't have half a hole, did the other half of the hole enlarge to encompass all of reality, and does that make it more valuable?

I'm pretty sure you're right on both counts.

All we need now is a time machine. That, and a broker that can find FDEV.

I actually wrote FD 15 years ago, asking if the original Elite rights and code could be bought. I was extremely frustrated that nothing new was under way. They politely declined, explaining that Elite was a game close to DBs heart and not something they were going to let go of. :)
