Trying to buy shields - what does yield symbol mean?

I sold the original shields that came on my Hauler for more cargo space which a week later I regret. So I finally find a place that sells shields and I can't buy them because there's this little red "yield" icon which means something but I have no idea what. What is it and why can't I buy?

Thanks! :)

I have plenty of money. How do I see if it demands more power than I have? Anyone know where I might find the most basic shield to buy?

I know you won't like my idea... but as I was searching back a shield, I just finally crashed my ship, to get it back on the layout... well, it's the last ressort of solution if you don't find any.

known bug that if you sell shields you won't be able to put one on again, hope it is fixed in Beta 3(just like buying ship and having to restart ED, and upgrades and downgrades not giving your credits back if that item is not for sale in that system)

EEEK! Maybe I'll just upgrade to a Viper?

When in the upgrades screen, check your total wattage available. Every component shows how much it consumes, except the Point Defense I believe that component isn't showing wattage usage.

Actually, it does.

On a side note. It's a bug.
Should be fixed beta 3
