Horizons Trying to find Platinum!

Can anyone give me a guide (or a link to) to finding Platinum. I know it needs to be mined but it is probably rare and difficult to find. Would appreciate some help.

Nice, but those are still mining missions and it's rather unreliable.

Metal rich contains no Platinum.

You don't need any prospectors. You are better off with them though.

This works really well, especially when you already have an SRV with you and can't be bothered to refit and travel for mining.

Frey 4 inner ring has pristene reserves. Was there yesterday and plenty of platinum available.

I was looking for Osmium for a mission and all it kept giving me was palladium and platinum. I think the AI is wonky. Anyway I probably want to suggest that you you take a mining mission for some stupid mineral to fool the AI and discard it when you get platinum.
